Dr. Girmachew Alemu Aneme is Senior Legal Advisor and Research Professor at the International Law and Policy Institute and Assistant Professor at the Addis Ababa University School of Law. He will enrich the work of the Research Projects B7 - Rule of Law and Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood and T3 - Policy Implications of Governance Research for German Foreign Policy (Cooperation Partner: German Federal Foreign Office) with his Research question "The coupling of State and Sharia justice systems in Ethiopia: Can consent be a balancing act?".
