On September 28, 2012 the SFB 700 “Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood” took part in the DVPW Convention with an information stand, panelists, and a panel discussion followed by a reception. The panel discussion and reception had been organized in cooperation with the Bremen-based Collaborative Research Project (SFB) 597 “Statehood in Transition,” and was moderated by Michael Zürn (WZB). The discussion focussed on the topic: “The Promise of the State: Capacities and Limits of Public Institutions in Areas of Consolidated and Limited Statehood.” The discussion included the following panelists: Prof. Dr. Tanja Börzel (SFB 700), Prof. Dr. Stephan Leibfried (SFB 597), Prof. Dr. Frank Nullmeier (SFB 597), and Prof. Dr. Thomas Risse (SFB 700).
