During the Annual Convention of the International Studies Association (ISA) in San Francisco, which took place in April 2013, the SFB 700 presented its work on various panels. A major highlight was a reception hosted in cooperation with the Berlin-based Humanities Center for Advanced Studies (KFG) "The Transformative Power of Europe."

The participants discussed current trends and their findings under the motto „The Politics of International Diffusion: Regional and Global Dimensions“.
