Bernardo Jurema, M.A., is Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 700 “Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood”, Freie Universität Berlin. He studied Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and Social Sciences at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. His research interests are comparative politics, security politics and counterinsurgency as well as counterterrorism.
