Research: ISEAL and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) (Lars Berger and Lili Mundle, 5.2015 - 1.2016)
Lili Mundle investigated how a private meta-governance organization, the ISEAL Alliance, supports its members, i.e. standard-setting partnerships. In 2015, Dr. Lars Berger and she concentrated on the interaction between the ISEAL Alliance and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). They conducted a number of interviews, supplemented by observations made, among others during the 2015 ISEAL Global Sustainability Standards Conference. The generated findings shed light on the added value of the meta-governance and guidance on standard-setting provided by ISEAL for AWS’ work. The data informed the following publication:
