From Sept 29th - 30th 2014, Prof. Dr. Stefan Esders and Lukas Bothe from Research Project B10 in cooperation with Dr. Han Nijdam from the Fryske Akademy Leeuwarden host a international Conference with the title "Wergild, Compensation and Penance: The Monetary Logic of Early Medieval Conflict Resolution".
