Shalini Randeria: Urban Governance and Policy-Making: An Ethnographic Perspective
As part of her stay as a visiting scientist at the SFB 700, Shalini Randeria gave a talk on the July 3rd 2014 titled "Urban Governance and Policy Making -- An Ethnographic Perspective".

The talk was opening event of this collaboration. In its first part, the talk points to the numerous links between Randerias work and the research topics at the SFB. That is followed by a general insight into her research questions and motivations. The main part of the talk is concerned with Randerias current paper, in which she discusses the concept of limited statehood on the example of India. The talk is concluded with a open discussion.
